closeCouple charged with corruption of minors
A Spring Mills couple has been charged with corruption of minors after police say they repeatedly engaged in sexual activity in a camper where a child could hear what they were doing.
State police Trooper Timothy Lear wrote in a complaint that the couple was “rocking the camper,” making crude statements and being noisy, despite knowing the child was inside and could hear them having sex.
They ignored the child’s pleas for them to be quiet and stop, and the 40-year-old woman responded by telling the child “You will get over it,” and throwing used tissues at the child, police said.
The man is 37 years old. The CDT is withholding their names to protect the child’s identity.
The incidents occurred in August, when the couple parked the camper at Bald Eagle State Park. They were charged in March, and both waived their preliminary hearings in court last week.

BELLEFONTE — County commissioners voted Thursday to approve creating a position for a fiscal technician in the Mental Health/Mental Retardation office.
Federal and state money will pay for almost all of the job’s $28,645 salary. County Administrator Tim Boyde said the position is needed because of the complexity of the reporting requirements. He said the county will pay for less than $2,800 of the annual salary. Commissioner Rich Rogers was not present.
