State College police are investigating at least half a dozen successful and attempted burglaries that took place Friday night into Saturday morning.
Two attempted burglaries and one successful one took place on the 100 block of East Prospect Avenue. Another burglary took place on the 600 block of South Pugh Street.
A man was arrested in connection with another State College burglary, and police say they are investigating to see if he was involved in any others. The suspect has not yet been arraigned.
Fleming man accused of kidnapping woman
A 19-year-old Fleming man is in Centre County prison awaiting arraignment on charges of kidnapping, terroristic threats and harassment.
Joshua E. Solt allegedly forcibly removed a 20-year-old Boalsburg woman from a Unionville house shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
Police say Solt then forced her into his car, drove her to his residence, and then threatened to punch her in the face if she returned to town.
He allegedly threw her cell phone to the ground, breaking it.
Car theft, burglary reported in State College
A 1996 dark green Chevrolet Blazer was stolen outside a home on the 100 block of Westerly Parkway sometime Friday night into Saturday morning.
A burglar is believed to have entered the home of the car owner as well.
Philipsburg residence vandalized
The home of a 24-year-old Philipsburg woman was vandalized shortly after midnight on Sunday. She discovered that someone had cut the screen on her front door and carved a threat into it.
Anyone with information on the incident, which occurred on the 100 block of East Maple Street, is asked to contact state police at Philipsburg at 342-3370.
BEA teen allegedly threatens harm at school
State police at Philipsburg are investigating allegations that a 16-year-old Bald Eagle Area High School student was overheard threatening to harm everyone at the school.
Police say the incident occured at 10 a.m. on Tuesday as the suspect’s mother was having a phone conversation with an official from the school district.
The official allegedly overheard the suspect make the threats in the background.
Computer stolen from car in State College
A laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked car that was parked on the 700 block of West Whitehall Road in State College.
The theft was reported at 9 p.m. Saturday.
