Penn State police reported 10 ladders, worth more than $1,200, were stolen from separate locations on campus Friday.
Police say an employee reported five of the ladders were taken from an unsecured area at the Eisenhower Auditorium, two ladders were missing from Chandlee Laboratory, and three ladders were taken from the Schwab Auditorium.
Police investigate PSU parking concern
Police are investigating a report from a visitor that an employee was charging money for parking at Beaver Stadium’s West lot, and keeping part of the proceeds for himself.
Detective application draws police attention
State police are investigating a situation where they say someone applied for a private investigator’s license using a Centre County address that wasn’t his.
The private detectives act requires that all applicants have an office within the county from which they apply.
The application was made at the county Prothonotary’s Office.
State police Trooper James P. Ellis is investigating.

Rockview prisoner attacked by cellmate
State police are investigating an assault Thursday of an inmate at the State Correctional Institution at Rockview.
The victim was assaulted by his cellmate around 11:05 a.m. and suffered a broken nose and bruising as a result. His injuries were moderate, police said.
Charges will be filed, state police say.
Hotel accused of liquor law violation
A State College hotel was cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement last week.
According to a press release, the Hilton Garden Inn, at 1221 E. College Avenue, was serving alcohol after 2 a.m. and before 11 a.m. May 24 in violation of liquor code.
The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who could could impose penalties ranging from $50 to $5,000, and can impose a license suspension or revocation, or mandate training.
Host of items stolen from Snow Shoe home
State police reported that someone stole about $5,000 of yard tools and household items from a Snow Shoe residence last year.
The theft happened between June 1 and Oct. 30, 2008, police said.
