Two Coach purses, along with an iPod and a Canon camera were stolen Sunday from the common area of an apartment at 727 W. College Ave., State College, police reported.
Police said the two purses, along with the items inside them, are valued at about $1,100.
Walk’s tow truck taken for joyride
A tow truck belonging to Walk’s Towing, of State College, was stolen early Sunday morning, State College police report.
Police said the tow truck driver had exited his truck to open a gate at the company’s impound lot behind the Hamilton Square strip mall when an unknown person jumped into the cab, put the truck into gear and drove away.
The truck was found about a block away on Fraser Street, where it had been abandoned by the unknown driver, police said.
Computers, cash stolen from university buildings
About $5,000 in computers and cash were stolen over the weekend from the Arts Building and Moore Building on the University Park campus, Penn State police report.
Police said it appeared that whoever stole the items entered multiple offices in both buildings.
Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to contact police at 863-1111.
Snow Shoe Township business hit by bullet
State police at Rockview are investigating the shooting of a bullet through the side of a business in Snow Shoe Township that took place between 4 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.
According to state police, someone shot a bullet through the side of Kintek Corp., 550 W. Sycamore St., before fleeing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call
