Man captured after foot chase with PSU officer
A Chester Springs man was arrested after a scuffle and foot chase with a Penn State police officer.
Daniel E. Weber, 820 Fieldstone Drive, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, false swearing, and minor’s law violation.
Police say Weber was stopped around 4:20 p.m. Saturday, for possessing an alcoholic beverage. Weber was transported to the Centre County Correctional Facility, arraigned and released on $10,000 bail.
Man accused of being disorderly at hospital
A Bridgeport, W.Va., man was arrested after police say he became hostile, combative and disorderly while being treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Andrew J. Klenk, 200 Sherwood Road, was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and minor’s law violation. He was taken to the Centre County Correctional Facility, arraigned and released on $10,000 bail.
Penn State police say Klenk was taken to the hospital at 8 p.m. Saturday, after he was found intoxicated and unable to care for himself.
PSU student reports assault on Bigler Road
A Penn State student reported she was grabbed by an unknown man as she walked along Bigler Road, between midnight and 3 a.m. Saturday.
Blanchard teens missing since Friday
State police at Rockview are looking for two teenage sisters from Blanchard. Caitlin Styers, 14, is described as 5 feet, 6 inches, about 120 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair. Chelcie Styers, 16, is described as about 5 feet, 4 inches, about 160 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
It is unknown what they were wearing at the time of their disappearance. The two left their residence at 112 Eagles Nest Road in Liberty Township around 7 a.m. Friday. Both are students at Central Mountain High School.

Fire destroys garage in Decatur Township
An 82-year-old woman’s wood-framed garage was destroyed in a Saturday afternoon fire.
State police at Clearfield say the fire, which began around 4 p.m., caused about $10,000 in damage. The structure is located on Martins Road in Decatur Township.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police fire marshal at 938-0510.
P-O students charged in choking incidents
Two Philipsburg-Osceola High School students have been charged with recklessly endangering another person, as police say they choked another student until he became unconscious on multiple occasions.
The two accused are a 16- year-old from Philipsburg and a 16-year-old from Osceola Mills.
Dozens cited for underage drinking at PSU game
Police officers cited 39 men and women for underage possession of alcohol in the parking lots surrounding Beaver Stadium on Saturday.
Uniformed officers from Altoona, Punxsutawney, Williamsport, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Wilkes- Barre and Erie participated in the detail, which focused on underage drinking, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and furnishing alcohol to minors.
Charges are pending against one adult for furnishing to minors.
