PSU police looking for field hockey assailant

UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State police are looking for a man who attacked another man with a field hockey stick at the Blue-White game Saturday in parking lot 25 off Porter Road.

At about 5 p.m., man reported to police that a dark-skinned black male in his early 20s with a mohawk haircut struck him across the knees with a red field hockey stick, according to Penn State police. The attacker then pushed the victim to the ground and repeatedly punched him, police said.

The alleged assailant was wearing a dark T-shirt and olive green cargo shorts, according to university police.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 863-1111 or Centre County Crimestoppers at 1-877-99-CRIME. Anyone who provides information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Tipsters can also visit www.psu.edu/dept/police/silentwitness.html.
