A joint vigil for prisoners of war and those missing in action will be held Friday at Penn State.
The vigil, run by Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine ROTC cadets/midshipmen, will begin at 6 p.m. on the Old Main lawn.
Members of each service will tell a story about a POW or MIA service member, and a presidential proclamation will be read. The vigil will be held in connection with National POW/MIA Recognition Day, which is marked on the third Friday in September.
The vigil will end at 6 p.m. Saturday with a formal joint flag retreat.
