A female Penn State student reported being sexually assaulted Friday night.
The victim was attacked by an unknown male at about 11:15 p.m. Friday. She was approached by the suspect on the south side of the Hammond Building sidewalk along West College Avenue and thrown to the ground. The suspect then sexually assaulted her and fled eastbound toward South Allen Street.
The victim described the suspect as a white, college-aged male who was about 5-feet 6-inches with a muscular build, blond hair and a full beard.
The incident was reported to Penn State police at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Penn State police said Sunday night it did not have an update on the investigation.
