If you want to get pumped up at the Rally in the Valley, you better be prepared for a little volleying first.
The traditional pep rally to whip up the Nittany Nation faithful before the Ohio State game on Saturday will be held Friday night after the Penn State women’s volleyball team takes on Michigan at Rec Hall.
The game starts at 7 p.m., but doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets are required for the game. To buy in advance, contact the ticket office at 800-NITTANY or visit the ticket office at the Bryce Jordan Center. Advance tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for youth. Tickets at the door will be $10 for adults.
Only the first 5,500 people through the door will get to attend the game and stay for the rally.
Never miss a local story.
The event will be opened by basketball coach Patrick Chambers and include appearances by head football coach James Franklin, the Penn State cheerleaders, Lionettes dance team, the Blue Band and the Nittany Lion.
The rally, sponsored by the Blue and White Society and the department of intercollegiate athletics, is partially funded by the University Park Allocation Committee.
Saturday’s game will be the first time Penn State and Ohio State meet as Big Ten East Division rivals. It will be the 30th time the two have played each other and the 22nd year in a row.
