Penn State has shown the world just how strong we are! Among the positives at PSU: our endowment is the fourth-fastest growing in the country, alumni donations are on pace, paid accepts for admissions are tracking ahead, medical school applications are up, and more employers are coming to campus to recruit our students. Not only have we retained top faculty and administration, we have also filled positions such as the vice president finance, general counsel, director of ethics and compliance, and athletics integrity officer, with the best and the brightest in their fields. We have attracted equally impressive candidates for provost. Penn State is setting the gold standard for improving governance and oversight at universities across the country and for establishing policies and procedures to make campuses safer. Penn State is not only surviving this crisis, but we are merging as a better, stronger, and more responsible university.
Over the past three years I have fulfilled my fidicuiary duty by: (1) being loyal to Penn State’s future; (2) faithful to its mission to educate students; (3) educating myself regarding various facets of the university; and (4) gaining the trust of my fellow board members, administration, and president. Because of this, I am now in a leadership role where I can continue to influence and shape the changes that are still needed at Penn State. It would be my honor and pleasure to continue as an alumni trustee.
