I decided to do that back in November, when Gary Trudeau turned out an election day strip that had Barack Obama winning the presidency.
Yes, he won, but the voters had not spoken, except for Trudeau.
I never ran that strip, and a few other papers held it out. Nobody complained.
I did howl at the syndicate, however, for not informing editors of this before the fact. We pay royally for Doonesbury, and that's the least they could have done.
I made my point back then, and our move of Doonesbury to Views is the final step.
In this case, by doing it, I saved another comic from leaving the paper. That will please some readers.
