Like you, I'm stunned in finding out about Harry Kalas' death, and I can only think of how wonderful it was that he got to call the Phillies as World Champs last year.
What a fitting end to an amazing career, one that will be remembered for years and years by Phillies fans who knew Kalas was the best.
Never miss a local story.
It was comforting to have Kalas broadcast the Phils, through lows and highs, and it was special for him to ride the wave of last year's magic title run.
He died at 73, and it seems like he's given us that many years of enjoyment.
Best wishes to the Kalas family and to the Phillies.
