Guy Cipriano recently wrote a column saying Penn State wrestling had to get off the mat.
Well, you might say it already has emerged a force. The hiring of Cael Sanderson can only help this program rebound.
But does this big bucks change mean anything more than wrestling, where donors want desperately to win and will spend to do so.
I doubt it, and of course only time will tell when a football decision has to be made.
But it seems wrestling is in a league of its own at PSU. That's my view, at least.
I just wonder what the other coaches think, with big Cael swooping in at the highest salary in college wrestling.
Do any of them have the highest salary in their sport? You have to hope that Russ Rose, at least, does.
