A stunning story to me is the end of the Jerry Lewis era with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Lewis has only raised over $1 billion and been the key to the Labor Day telethon every year.
He is in his 80s and he likes to do it his way.
So they ended things before this year's telethon. I hope MDA knows what it's doing.
Never miss a local story.
Through the telethon MDA has a great vehicle to raise money and reach people. Who will take the reins?
I came to appreciate MDA years ago in what it could do for my mother during her illness. MDA was there, and for that I've supported the organization for years.
Where it goes after Lewis is anyone's guess, but I find this abrupt move troubling.
