closeBenefit for victim's children raises $41,000
From CDT staff reports
The fundraiser last weekend to benefit the four children of Samuel S. Boob raised $41,000, organizers say.
Boob died Aug. 23 after being shot twice with his own gun at his Tusseyville Road home in Centre Hall. Police have charged his wife, Mirinda, and Bellefonte man, Ronald Heichel, with his murder.
Boob’s family and friends gathered Saturday night for a dinner fundraiser for his kids, ages 7 months to 10 years old.
Organizers said 500 meal tickets were sold for that event, as well as 1,500 raffle tickets. A skeet shoot Sunday, followed by the raffle drawing and silent auction, were also held at the Spring Mills Fish and Game Association.
