closeThe State College Area school board unanimously approved a contract with The Schrader Group to design construction projects at Panorama Village, Ferguson Township and Gray’s Woods elementary schools. The cost of the Gray’s Woods work is $120,150. The architect offered a discounted fee if the board picks a replicated design for the Panorama and Ferguson projects. Under the contract, the Panorama work will cost $585,520 to $688,250, and the price for designing the Ferguson school will be $595,320 to $699,220.
The board also approved Alexander Building Construction Co., which has offices in State College and Harrisburg, as the construction manager for the three projects. The board still needs to approve a contract with Alexander Building. Combined, the projects are expected to cost $26.4 million.
