closeDrugs discovered on Rockview inmates
State police charged another two inmates at the Rockview state prison with having drugs in their cells.
In the first incident, inmate James Edward Cole Jr. was found with a bag of marijuana during a search of his cell in November. A corrections officer “saw Cole remove the bag of weed from his pocket and act like he was going to turn off his TV,” police wrote in court papers.
When the officer told him to stop, Cole dropped the bag on his bunk bed, police said.
A second inmate, Michael Sparrow, was arrested after four tablets of the prescription pill Elavil were found in his cell during a search in May.
The two incidents were unrelated. Both inmates are charged with one count of possession of narcotics by an inmate, and possession of a controlled substance.
The charges are the result of an ongoing investigation by the Troop G Vice and Narcotics unit of the state police.

Unusual behavior leads to man’s arrest
State College police say they have identified the suspicious man who approached two State College Area High School girls April 7 at Welch pool.
Police say 55-year-old Richard Grubb, of Bellefonte, was arrested by Bellefonte police April 8 on assault and disorderly conduct charges arising out of a different incident in Bellefonte.
At that time, Grubb was driving a white van, and was later identified as the person at the pool. Grubb won’t face any charges for the April 7 incident, State College police said, because he didn’t commit any crimes.
“He was demonstrating unusual behavior, and that’s why they called,” Lt. Chris Fishel said.
