Police look for man in connection with fire
State College police are looking for a 19-year-old man whose parents thought he was staying at their home, which caught fire early Sunday morning.
Osaze Osagie, whose parents were out of town, has not been seen or heard from since the blaze caused significant damage to the home.
The 19-year-old has been entered into the National Crime Information Center’s database as missing/endangered. “We’re looking to find him to check on his well being,” said State College police Lt. Keith Robb.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. Steve Bair, the Centre Region Council of Governments fire director, said the fire marshal’s report will likely not be finished until later this week.
He said the fire is thought to have started on the first floor in the rear of the building, and it’s not known if anyone was home at the time. Neighbors reported the blaze around 1:15 a.m.
Anyone with information on Osagie’s whereabouts is asked to contact State College police at 234-7150.

A Bellefonte teen suffered moderate injuries in a crash Sunday evening on Snow Shoe Mountain Road in Boggs Township, state police reported.
Samuel R. Peters, 18, was not transported to an area hospital, and no further information on his condition was available.
State police said the crash occurred at 5:55 p.m., as Peters was driving a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am south on state Route 144. He was going too fast when he tried to negotiate a right curve and the vehicle traveled across the northbound lane and began to spin clockwise, state police said.
