Two people suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 3 a.m. today on Interstate 99 southbound at the Axemann Road overpass in Spring Township.
State police at Rockview said a vehicle occupied by Bruce Parent, 55, of Saratoga, N.Y., and Meghan Fitzgerald, 24, of Greenwich, N.Y. was traveling south when the vehicle left the road and traveled into the center median. It then went up over an embankment blocking the opening between the bridges and traveled down the hill, until it was underneath I-99 at Axemann Road.
The investigation is ongoing. Police said they do not suspect the involvement of alcohol, and said both occupants claimed to have been wearing seat belts.
