Huntingdon man dies four days after crash

A 41-year-old Huntingdon man died Tuesday evening after being hospitalized for four days with injuries from a crash on state Route 64 Halloween night.

Ray Lamey was the passenger in a car driven by his wife, Cynthia Dawn Lamey, 51, when it was hit by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Bellefonte teen.

Police haven’t released the teen’s name. A previous news release said he and his 17-year-old passenger were not injured.

The crash happened around 6:20 p.m. about a mile south of Hublersburg in Walker Township. Police say Lamey’s vehicle was traveling south on state Route 64 and was slowing when it was struck from behind.

Sexual assault reported Saturday

A woman reported that she was sexually assaulted sometime Saturday evening, according to police reports.

The assault was reported to State College police but referred to Ferguson Township police because that is where it allegedly happened.

Four men rob man, break his jaw

State College police reported that a man was jumped in the Highlands area of State College around 1 a.m. Saturday during a strong-arm robbery. Police have no suspects, but are looking for four college-aged men who allegedly broke the man’s jaw and then took $40 from his wallet.

The victim’s mother called police because his jaw was wired shut, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call State College police at 234-7150.

Two auctions to benefit Boob children

Two auctions are planned this month to sell the belongings and Tusseyville Road home of Centre Hall resident Samuel S. Boob, who was shot and killed in August.

Both auctions will benefit Boob’s four children, his brother-in-law Ben Cort said Thursday.

“The cool thing about this one is that the auctioneer and his company are donating 100 percent of their time,” Cort said. “Absolutely everything is going into a trust for the kids.”

Kissinger Bigatel and Brower Auction Services will hold the first auction at 9 a.m. Sunday, with a preview at 8 a.m., at 383 Tusseyville Road. Auctioned will be many of the guns, cars, tools and other collectibles Boob had personally built and worked on, Cort said.

A second auction at 9 a.m. Nov. 22 will be held at the same address. At that auction, Boob’s house, with 4.1 acres of land, will be auctioned. Boob bought it four years ago and made additions and upgrades, Cort said.

“There was a lot of sweat in that place,” Cort said.

Accident backs up traffic for Cyrus concert

A two-car accident on Interstate 99 added to the backlog of traffic Thursday evening heading to the Bryce Jordan Center for the Miley Cyrus concert.

State College police said one car of concertgoers was distracted and didn’t notice traffic was stopped in between the Toftrees and Penn State exit in the northbound lanes.

The woman crashed into the back of another car of fans, police said. One person was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for minor injuries, police said. Both cars were towed from the scene.

PSU Dickinson to hold health care discussion

The Penn State Dickinson School of Law will hold panel discussions on the impact of health care reform on the industry at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Lewis Katz Building on the University Park campus.
