Preparing treasures

Volunteers are working at Beaver Stadium to prepare for Saturday's Trash to Treasure sale, to benefit the Centre County United Way.

Merchandise comes from donations by Penn State students, and about 500 volunteers work to put the event together every year.

Shoppers who pay $5 can enter the sale at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Free admission begins at 9 a.m. and the event closes at 3 p.m.
