Well, the two Republican county commissioners just muffed the most important decision in their public careers: the decision about what to do with Centre Crest.
Sure, they understand the necessity of spending public money for brick-and-mortar things, like the prison and the emergency communication towers.
But when it comes to caring for the most needy among us, they shrug their shoulders and say the reimbursement is not enough.
Commissioner Michael Pipe cared enough to research the problem with visits to 20 facilities around the state.
Did the other two? Why bother when your mind was made up long ago?
Somebody needs to be replaced in the next election for commissioner.
