Before all this political drama, our county commissioners had a good working relationship that put Centre County first.
Looks like that ended with Michael Pipe’s antics.
Centre Crest has, once again, thanks to Pipe, become a political football when what really matters is the level of care provided for its residents.
Nonprofit status provides the opportunity for better management, continuity of care and better care — it’s a long-term solution.
Pipe offers only a Band-Aid and tax increases at a time when property taxes are already going up in the county.
I hope our commissioners move beyond Centre Crest and rebuild the good working relationship that was lost due to Pipe’s political games.
