If U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson wants to be known as a genuine “Problem Solver,” he should address and help solve some of the most difficult problems our country faces.
Our congressman can help solve the problem of gun violence by introducing legislation that would help keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.
He should stand with the vast majority of Americans (92 percent), the majority of gun owners and a significant number of National Rifle Association members who agree that background checks should be universal.
The right to be called a “Problem Solver” needs to be earned, and this is one way for Thompson to begin to earn that title and the greater respect that comes with it.
