Facts are the catalyst for the hotly contested Penns Valley school board election.
Penns Valley taxpayers deserve change at the level of the school board because they deserve 100 percent transparency 100 percent of the time.
The current school board hasn’t delivered. The school board challengers want transparency, fiscal responsibility, accountability, and equal treatment of all taxpayers and all students to be the backbone of this district.
Two forums are available for the candidates.
Never miss a local story.
The first, The Centre Hall Businessman and Farmer’s Association, whose moderator openly supports a candidate running with the incumbents, will not allow questions about the deeply divisive Ram Community Centre development project.
Why not? Why would questions about incumbents’ records and priorities not be allowed?
Whether for or against it, the Ram Centre debacle shed light on a variety of pitfalls — about which we should all be encouraged to ask hard questions so that, moving forward, past mistakes aren’t repeated.
The League of Women Voters is holding a forum Oct. 15, setting aside specific time for Penns Valley school director candidates. This forum will be broadcast live by C-Net and available for online viewing after the forum is over.
The LWV forum is neutral and will not be censoring questions.
