I am not a football coach, nor do I pretend to be one.
However, I have been a fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions since 1958 and have followed them ever since.
I have watched this 2013 team and see that there is an abundance of talent at just about all of the positions on both sides of the ball. The only place right now that really needs attention for immediate improvement is the coaching.
No matter where the problem or problems might be at, it is the responsibility of the head coach to fix them.
As we all know, the Nittany Lions have had their share of problems this year, and Coach Bill O’Brien responds by saying, “I need to start coaching better.” By saying this, he is taking responsibility for what is going wrong and he is to be applauded for shouldering the blame.
With all due respect to O’Brien is it time for him to say, “I have to quit talking and just do it”?
