Kudos to the residents of Patton Township for their wisdom and foresight in successfully financing the acquisition of more than 400 acres of irreplaceable green space through imaginative planning and the generosity of the Haugh family.
Hopefully, the township will find a way to continue with its exemplary land-preservation project.
For those who live in and around the Centre Region, the Patton Township approach demonstrates a remarkably astute response to gluttonous regional developers. We should take heed.
Let’s not forsake our sacred heritage to the ambiguity of the future.
Never miss a local story.
