According to Monday’s CDT, Thompson voted for a 25 percent cut in enforcement spending to catch tax cheats. So, if you’re a cheat, he’s your man.
In another vote reported in the CDT, Thompson also voted in favor of tax deductions for U.S. corporations that dodge taxes by re-incorporating overseas.
Unfortunately, Thompson’s actions will either end up costing honest taxpayers more in the long run, or it will increase the deficit.
