Bang, bang, you’re dead!
These are the words we don’t want to hear, but they are occurring at the rate of once per week as senseless shootings and stabbings are occurring at an alarming rate in our schools nationwide.
This madness must stop now!
I believe that when all else fails, prayer works.
Matthew 18:20 states, “For when two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.” I truly believe that the more voices we gather together in prayer, that God will surely hear our prayers and in his mysterious way will bring an end to this senseless violence that is occurring in our schools nationwide.
You, you and you, if you will join us, hopefully God will put an end to the violence in our public schools now.
I believe that one plus one will equal 100 voices joining in prayer to combat the senseless violence in our schools.
A Prayer in the Park event will occur from 5-6:30 p.m. Aug. 18 in Johnstown’s Central Park. Please join us. Let your voices be heard in prayer as we ask God to stop the violence now!
