As a resident of Wyandotte Lane, I would like to thank a host of individuals who acted to support our neighborhood during this crisis. The first person that I would like to thank is Tom Dowling. Tom not only protected our community and others by notifying the police regarding the intent of his friend, he continually supported the health concerns of his lifelong friend. He is a tremendous example of what it means to be a true friend and a good citizen.
Additionally I want to thank the Ferguson Township police, the FBI, the bomb squad, the Pennsylvania State Police, Alpha Fire Company, and all of the other support services that accompanied this team. Everyone involved acted quickly and cautiously. Our home is just a few feet from where the bomb was situated. Never did we feel that our home or lives were in jeopardy.
Events like this one do not occur every day, nor do they frequent our small community. It is comforting to know that our emergency responders are well trained and prepared for any situation.
