Thank you so much to the Interfraternity Council for initiating the Greek Sweep this past Sunday morning (“Fraternity brothers get their hands dirty in Greek Sweep cleanup,” Sept. 28, CDT). Not only was it a nice, neighborly thing to do; it was an incredible teaching opportunity for me as a parent.
Living among the energy of the fraternities, my kids see and hear a lot of activity that is not always easy to explain. The visual of students cleaning up a mess they themselves probably didn’t make was so powerful to see, especially for our youth.
