I expect much more from the president of Penn State than to stand with his hands up during a student demonstration on campus.
Does his action tell us that he believes the officer was guilty and he does not believe in the justice system? Michael Brown did not have his hands, up so why does the president of the university follow the protesters in such an action?
He is supposed to be a leader not a follower. If he believes there is a need for dialogue on race relationships in the country, then call for or sponsor such a forum. The problem is not a police problem but a society that does not take responsibility. It is a shame we have leaders that, instead of leading, perpetuate the problem.
Never miss a local story.
