As a Haines Township resident, I think it quite troubling that the chairman of the Haines Township Board of Supervisors feels the need and thinks it is appropriate to write a letter to the editor defending Con-Stone Inc.
I do not think that what is good for Con-Stone is good for Haines Township residents. On the subject of participation at meetings, there is only so much people can take.
Haines Township spent $50,000 of its own money to develop a zoning ordinance and the current Board of Supervisors has stonewalled all attempts at passing a thoughtful, practical plan to guide township growth. This refusal has alienated a lot of concerned people that otherwise would be voicing their opinion.
