The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and we hope at least half of those who voted last year at this time — in the presidential election — make time to do so today.
One of the most powerful constituencies in American democracy is voters. While the electorate turns out in droves to vote in the presidential election, voters are less likely to exercise their democratic right in non-presidential, off-year elections. Nonetheless, the off-year competitions often have more direct influence on your quality of life.
The Centre Daily Times asked the two candidates for Centre County district attorney — Michael Madeira and Stacy Parks Miller — to respond in writing to an identical set of questions.
