closeLOS ANGELES -- Joe doesn't know. Yet.
Penn State's head football coach, six weeks removed from hip replacement surgery, said Tuesday he has not yet decided if he will coach from the sideline during Thursday's Rose Bowl game, calling the chances "50-50."
"I feel fine," Paterno said during an early-morning news conference. "The only problem is it gets tired."
Paterno said he would sit down with his assistant coaches and some of the squad members later in the day to reach a final decision. The 82-year-old coached the final seven games of the season from the coaches' box after injuring his leg during an onside kick drill in the first week of practice.
