Former Philipsburg-Osceola kicker Zach Czap picked up a pair of honors as a result of last weekend’s performance with the Lycoming football team.
Czap kicked three field goals including a 33-yarder with 2:22 left to help engineer a 16-14 upset of No. 24 Widener.
He also kicked field goals of 44 and 31 yards in the game, tying a school record. They were his first field goal attempts of the season. He also added a PAT in the game for the Warriors, who are 3-1. The performance earned him the Mid Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week award and also the Beyond Sport Network Player of the Week award, which is a national honor.
Czap averages 38.9 yards on 22 punts and 53.1 yards on 11 kickoffs.
