Tyler James gave up two early runs but settled in as Pleasant Gap picked up a 5-2 win over Clarence in Centre County League action on Sunday.
The Mounties (10-10) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning with Dillon Schall hitting a sacrifice fly to score one of the runs.
The Peppers (9-10) then responded with a five run fourth inning claiming the lead they wouldn’t surrender.
Cory Cunningham’s suicide squeeze with two outs was the highlight of the inning for Pleasant Gap.
The Peppers were led by Cunningham’s two hits and Tyler Lalli’s two RBIs.
Clarence was led by Justin Taylor’s two hits.
