League-leading Philipsburg rallied for seven runs in the top of the sixth inning to score a 9-5 triumph over Blanchard on Monday.
With the score tied at 2-2, the Bees took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, Chad Todd’s single and a misplay in the outfield plated all three runs.
Philipsburg rebounded in its next at-bat. Ryan Koch’s two-run single highlighted the seven-run outburst.
Drew Bryan had three hits, including a double, to lead the Spike Island Pirates (19-3), winning pitcher Aaron Lidgett and Koch each added two singles.
Todd, who had a double, led the Bees (4-17) with three hits. Josh Bechdel added two singles.
