A six-run second inning helped Mifflin County knock off Bellefonte 13-3 Saturday in the American Legion Central Penn League baseball tournament.
Nick Jabco’s two-run double in a three-run top of the second gave Bellefonte the lead, but it disappeared quickly in the bottom half of the inning. John Michael MacLay started the rally with an RBI double, and Cade Addick added a two-run single.
Zack Hostetler had a big day at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a double and five RBIs for Mifflin County, while Ross Torquato pitched a four-hitter, striking out four and walking one for the win.
Ryan McElwee took the loss for the Bandits, who will face Clearfield in an elimination game Sunday. Mifflin County and Huntingdon will battle in the winner’s bracket final.
