Connecticut transfer Terrence Samuel has signed with Penn State, the program officially announced Wednesday.
Samuel played two years at UConn and will have two years of eligibility after sitting out this season due to NCAA transfer rules. Samuel averaged 3.6 points and 20.4 minutes in 35 games for the Huskies last season. He also started eight games.
The Brooklyn, N.Y., native played in 65 games in his two years at UConn and was a member of the Huskies’ national championship team in 2014.
“We are excited to add someone with Terrence’s background to our program,” Penn State coach Patrick Chambers said in a press release. “He played two seasons at a very high level and has seen action in a national championship game – that experience is something that cannot be taught. We look forward to working with him over the next year.”
