It looks as if the Nittany Lions better get used to playing at night — and on national TV.
The No. 5 Penn State football team will take on Iowa on the road at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 on ABC, the university announced Monday. Both teams are 2-0 so far this season.
This will be the Nittany Lions’ first visit to Kinnick Stadium since 2012. PSU currently leads the all-time series 14-12.
The night game comes just one week after Penn State is set for another 7:30 p.m. game, against Georgia State this Saturday.
The Hawkeyes likely remember last season’s meeting very well. James Franklin’s crew cruised to a 41-14 victory in what was Iowa’s worst loss of the regular season.
In that game, Saquon Barkley finished with 211 all-purpose yards (167 rushing, 44 receiving), while Penn State totaled 599 yards of offense.
