An impressive recruiting push continued Wednesday for Penn State as another vaunted recruit declared his intentions to play for the Nittany Lions beginning in 2014.
Troy Vincent Jr., a defensive back from The Gilman School (Baltimore), verbally committed to Penn State on Wednesday. Vincent’s commitment was first reported by Blue White Illustrated.
Vincent’s commitment — which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent — is the 12th in the current recruiting class and fifth from a four-star prospect. Vincent Jr., the son of five-time NFL Pro Bowler Troy Vincent, is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and a three-star recruit by 24/7 Sports.
He is the fourth defensive back to commit in the current recruiting class. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound Vincent Jr. had offers from Arizona State, California, Illinois and Indiana according to 24/7 Sports.
