Penn State added to its future tight end depth on Thursday as Mike Gesicki orally committed to the Nittany Lion football team.
Gesicki announced his commitment — which is non-binding until he signs a national letter of intent — on Twitter.
“I’m so blessed, thankful, and joyful to announce that I am committed to The Pennsylvania State University!” Gesicki tweeted.
A 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior at Southern Regional (N.J.), Gesicki is listed as a four-star prospect by 24/7 Sports and a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.

Gesicki is considered the No. 2 recruit at any position in New Jersey. He is the 13th athlete to join Penn State 2014 class.
Defensive tackle Antoine White is also a Penn State commit from New Jersey.
