The Penn State men’s hockey team remains one of the hottest tickets in town.
The Nittany Lions sold out their allotment of season tickets for their second season in Pegula Arena, with more than 95 percent of last year’s season ticket holders renewing their subscriptions.
Penn State also announced four-game and group packages and a season ticket sale for students Friday as the team prepares for its coming season.
Student season tickets will go on sale at 7 a.m. Sept. 11 exclusively through the student central page at gopsusports.com, with a cost of $112 for 14 games.
Never miss a local story.
Four-game packages for two-game home series against Ohio State and Michigan will go on sale to the public on Sept. 2 through the Bryce Jordan Center Athletic Ticket Office. The games against the Buckeyes (Jan. 9-10) and Wolverines (March 6-7) are not included in student season ticket packages, since they fall during winter and spring breaks, respectively. Group tickets also will go on sale for those games.
Single-game tickets for the Ohio State series also will go on sale Sept. 2, while single tickets for the Michigan series will go on sale in January 2015.
Single-game tickets for all other games will be available Sept. 17.
The Nittany Lions open their season Oct. 10-11 when they host Connecticut, with other home series against Holy Cross (Oct. 24, 26), Bentley (Oct. 30-31), Michigan State (Jan. 16-17), Northern Michigan (Jan. 23-24), Wisconsin (Feb. 6-7) and Minnesota (Feb. 20-21).
