Penn State’s Jordan Tyler was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Nittany Lions men’s soccer team to an overtime victory over Northwestern over the weekend.
The redshirt junior scored with 1:47 left in regulation against the No. 19 Wildcats to force the extra time, then netted the game-winner to wrap up a second straight Big Ten regular-season title for the No. 13 Nittany Lions (10-3-1, 5-0).
Four of Tyler’s five goals this season have been game-winners as he earned his first career weekly award from the conference.
Penn State, which is 8-1-1 in its last 10 games, visits Penn on Tuesday evening.
