Penn State junior forward Megan Schafer is among 36 women’s soccer players on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced Wednesday.
The trophy is the “most prestigious award in college soccer,” given to the top men’s and women’s soccer players each year. Penn State’s Raquel Rodriguez won the award last season.
Schafer led the Big Ten with 13 goals and 30 points last season. She was an All-Big Ten second-team selection.
The watch list includes 2015 finalist Kadeisha Buchanan, of West Virginia.
