closeCOLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Penn State’s Talor Battle has been named to the 12-member U.S. team for the World University Games.
The 12-member squad were selected by the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team Committee, chaired by Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim. Wisconsin’s Bo Ryan is the team’s head coach.
Battle, a rising junior guard, will be joined by James Anderson (Oklahoma State); Trevor Booker (Clemson); Craig Brackins (Iowa State); Da’Sean Butler (West Virginia); Corey Fisher (Villanova); Lazar Hayward (Marquette); Robbie Hummel (Purdue); Quincy Pondexter (Washington); Deon Thompson (North Carolina); Evan Turner (Ohio State); and Jarvis Varnado (Mississippi State).
The team will continue practices in Colorado through Wednesday. The tournament will be played July 2-11 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Student tickets on sale Monday
UNIVERSITY PARK — Sales for Penn State student season tickets will begin Monday with the senior class sale and continue through the week, finishing with the graduate student ticket sale June 26.
All returning full-time Penn State students wishing to purchase a season football ticket were required to pre-register for the sale between May 27-31.

Schoepfer nets two in U.S. victory
CLEVELAND — Penn State forward Katie Schoepfer scord two goals in a 2-1 U.S. under-23 team win against FC Indiana of the W-League. The U.S. will continue to train in Cleveland before heading to London in early July.
