2009 PSU RECRUITS

Here’s a running list of players who’ve given oral commitments to Penn State:

Ty Howle, OL, Bunn, N.C. (Bunn) 6-2, 290 (March 23)

Notes: Honor student who reportedly bench presses 400 pounds. Also had offers from East Carolina and Navy.

Malcolm Willis, DB, Indian Head, Md. (Lackey) 5-11, 205 (April 28)

Notes: Attended same high school as current Nittany Lion J.B. Walton. Doubles as quarterback for high school team.

Mark Arcidiacono, OL, Philadelphia (St. Joseph’s Prep) 6-4, 290 (April 30)

Notes: Chose Penn State over Florida. Named second-team all-league selection as a junior. Father, Mark, played for Temple.

Stephen Obeng-Agyapong, DB, Bronx, N.Y. (John F. Kennedy) 5-11, 185 (May 9) Notes: Attended same high school as current Penn State speedster Stephfon Green, and can run as well (clocked at 4.5 seconds in the 40). Projected as a safety in college.

Darrell Givens, DB, Indian Head, Md. (Lackey) 6-0, 175 (May 10) Notes: High school teammate of fellow recruit Malcolm Willis. Reneged on a verbal commitment to Ohio State.

Derrick Thomas, ATH, Greenbelt, Md. (Eleanor Roosevelt) 6-1, 175 (May 11) Notes: From the same high school as Penn State WR Derrick Williams. Could play as a cornerback or slot receiver in college.
