Behind a trio of Eagles in double figures, Bald Eagle Area knocked off Central Mountain 71-57 Friday night.
Bryce Greene scored 21 points while Bryan Greene and Brandon Gettig each netted 15 for the Eagles (11-1). Jason Jones added nine points.
After the Wildcats sprinted to a quick 6-0 lead to open the game, BEA rallied for a 39-28 lead by halftime, thanks to a 10 for 12 showing from the foul line in the second quarter.
“They got that early lead, but then we adjusted the tempo to our favor,” Eagles coach Bill Butterworth said. “We played with a lot of energy and our defense was playing well.”
Tyler Everhart’s 11 points paced the Wildcats (4-7).
