Penns Valley raced off to a fast start and put away Philipsburg-Osceola 69-28 in Mountain League boys' basketball on Tuesday night.
The victory for the Rams (12-1) secured an 18th consecutive winning season for the program — a run that dates to before anyone on the team was born.
“We’re proud of that,” Penns Valley coach Terry Glunt said. “To me that’s important to the kids to keep the streak alive.”
With all 15 players getting court time for the Rams, the scoring was spread out. Logan Pearce led with 11 points, Will Jackson netted 10 and Logan Johnson added nine.
“It was nice to have all the kids contribute,” Glunt said. “All of them went out there and got a decent amount of playing time, worked hard and did the things we asked them to do very well.”
Lewis Jones’ 12 points and eight points apiece for Trentin Herrington and Curtis Matsko paced the Mounties (0-12).
